Parker and his sayings

Parker is quite the talker. Here are some current favorites:

"Fee Bear, Daddy?" (Feel better, Daddy? He often says this after kissing Mike's gall bladder surgery incisions:)
" I put it in the bargage, Mommy?" (bargage= garbage)
"More milk, Daddy? In the fwidge?" Parker likes to tell us where we can find the milk when we get it for him.
"Stop kye-ing Celia." (This one is self-explanatory)
"My do it! My do it!"

The little language Parker has developed has makes us laugh every day. He picks up words and phrases so quickly, we have to be careful what we say!

Santa came to our house!!!!

Parker and Celia had a wonderful Christmas. Their Nana came from Syracuse and both of them loved the extra time with her. Parker seemed to really understand the ritual of welcoming Santa with cookies and a note (his note said, "Santa, I love you. I would like a firetruck.") and went to bed easily knowing that Santa would bring him gifts during the night. Must be Parker was a good boy this year, Santa was so good to him.  He had a great time Christmas morning. Here's some photos from the day!

Parker has been saying since Christmas that his favorite gift from Santa was a firetruck. However, some other contenders were the Toy Story movie (Wooo-dee and Buzz), Mr. Potato Head (Tayto Head) and a train table (pway twains?). His Nana also got him a kitchen which was all set up Christmas morning as well. He has already started making some amazing culinary creations such as: corn, popcorn (Pah-cone), pasta, hot dogs, grilled cheese, olives (ahh-wivvvs) and birthday cake (bur-day cake). He loves to cook just like his Daddy!

Parker's Birthday and Christmastime

We were so happy to celebrate Parker's 2nd birthday this past weekend. It was a construction themed at the local YMCA party and I think it's fair to say everyone had a ball! I can hardly believe my little man is two. It's been the best two years ever-- Parker and now his sister have brought us so much joy and we are truly, truly blessed.

(Psst....Mommy is particularly proud of the cake she made for the occasion. It looked great and thankfully tasted great too!)


I will post some more Christmas pictures soon from our breakfast with Santa, but if I don't get a chance to before the holiday, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Happy Holidays!

We were so lucky to see so much family over the Thanksgiving break. Parker has 15 cousins and he got to see at least eight of them just in the past four days! He loves playing with his boy cousins and loves the cuddles he gets from his girl cousins. We were so happy to have so much family time and we even got the Christmas tree up as well. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving-- the holiday season has begun!!

Celia- Two weeks old with Elpha

Each month, I took Parker's picture with this elephant Elpha in the chair in his nursery. Now that the room has been turned over to his sister, she is taking over and had her first Elpha photoshoot last week. Today marks only three weeks Celia has been a part of our family--- feels like much longer. Everyone has adjusted in the house and Parker is really loving his little sister. Often he asks, "Celia- a comin' too?" when we go to leave the house or even read books before bed. Already he's pretty used to having her around and showers her with LOTS of "huggins" and "kissins."
